Princess Street
Over a century ago, the first Chinese arrived in Kingston — laundrymen
on Princess Street, restaurateurs working dawn to closing. As the
decades passed, generation after generation put down roots here —
yet their stories have never been told whole.
This is a series of stories in their own voices, tracing generations
of Chinese life in our small city.
Do you, or someone in your family, have a story to tell?
Help us keep listening
These stories belong to Kingston's Chinese community — and to everyone willing to listen. CCAKD is a registered non-profit, and we rely on the generosity of members and friends to keep this archive growing. Every gift helps fund the next interview, the next transcription, the next preserved memory.
